MOUNT TAHAN!!

Do you like hiking?? what is the highest mount you success to hike??

i like hiking. where is the highest? the highest mount i succeed to hike was Mount Tahan (2187m), the highest point in peninsular malaysia. Its located within the Taman Negara national forest, in the state of Pahang. the mountain is popular with local climbers and also considered by many to be one of the toughest treks in Peninsular Malaysia. There have three trails, Kuala Tahan to Kuala Tahan, Merapoh to Kuala Tahan or Kuala Tahan to Merapoh and Merapoh to Merapoh.

My experienced with my ex-classmate at Polytechnic Sultan Idris Shah, we used the trail Merapoh to Merapoh. From Merapoh we passed through ten camp before reach at the mount tahan's peak. Merapoh, Sungai Relau, Kuala Juram, Kuala Luis, Lata Luis, Kem kor, Kem Permatang, Kem Kubang, Kem Belumut and Kem Bonsai.

Very tough preparation before we go to hiking at mount tahan, not only that the preparation for mental also must be considered. 3 months before the day we did a lot of exercise to make our physical fit and ready. For the pre-hiking we try to climb Broga Hill. At the last we succeed to completed our mission to reach at the mount tahan's peak. That is a very valuable experience in my life.

GUA TEMPURUNG, MALAYSIA ORIENTEERING ASEAN CUP CIRCUIT 2014

hye guys!!

What is orienteering?? orienteering is a sport that required you to use your navigational skill using map and compass to navigate from one checkpoint to another checkpoint. Actually this is not my first time join this game, but this is my first time joining again after 2 years resting from injured and after my marriage. hehehe....

The last game I joined was 12 hours Guinness World Record Rogaining Challenge at Teluk Intan, Perak and  won the 2nd place for women category. Rogaining also same with orienteering but rogaining is a long distance cross-country navigation sport.

Back to Gua Tempurung Malaysia Orienteering Asean Cup Circuit 2014, the distance of this circuit is about 14.8 km and required us to finished 13 checkpoint using a dibber. This is individual challenge and the participant was provided with topography map around Gua Tempurung area and direction. My participated on this games was to tried my fitness back either i can joined again this sport or not, also my best friend asked me to teach new comers for this orienteering game. :) The participant is released one by one and I am the last women participant in the flag off list, so after the flag off I run as fast as I can to catch up the other participant. And i finished this competition at 18th place from 39 participant. Yeayyyy I did it!!!... here i share some of photo at Gua Tempurung orienteering game.......
